core tenets

1) Protect & elevate humans & their creations.

Art and human creativity are incredible gifts to be celebrated. The humans behind these creations deserve an internet that cares for them and wants them to succeed.

2) Capital-backed corporations aren't human.

Humans may produce corporate outputs, but those humans are systemically undervalued to extract profit from their labor. Worker-owned businesses and small, creator-owned businesses are totally cool though 😀👍

We want to encourage humans to take control of their online presence. While some may see centralized social media sites as a necessary evil to engage with others online, this space aims to provide some of that connection without abusing your data, tracking you, or extracting your attention for profit.

Are you a human? Have you created a website to display one or more of your creations? If so, innertu.be wants you! To join:

Email us with your site url, a short description, and any tags you think are appropriate for the site.
Once membership is confirmed, add the webring link panel to your site.

membership requirements

Member sites MUST include the webring link panel, either full or compact. This is essential to maintaining the ring's structure.
Member sites MUST NOT use corporate advertising anywhere on the site.
Usage of "generative AI" tools SHOULD be used with discretion and clearly disclosed on member sites. This means:
1. You can build your own model WITHOUT stealing labor from those who made the dataset and use that for anything. Usage of this generative AI SHOULD be declared somewhere close to its usage.
2. For models built from stolen labor/any corporate generative AI, you MUST declare its usage next to the generated content. You SHOULD only do this when you can't afford to spend your time or another human's time to generate the content. You SHOULD use that declaration to link to a human creator that should get support (they do not have to be in the webring). With these caveats, you can use corporate generative AI in the following ways:
  - Sharing educational knowledge about corporate generative AI
  - Used as an element within a greater work that is human created

Here are two options for a link panel on your website. You can use either of these or design your own. Paste the panel you want into your website code and replace YOUR_URL_HERE with the site URL you submitted. For custom link panels, you must include the following:
